The University of Chester welcomes applications from Indian students to apply for GREAT/University of Chester Scholarships. The scholarships are part funded by the British Council and part funded by the University of Chester. GREAT Scholarships are offered to Indian students for September 2014 intake.
The University of Chester is celebrating its 175 year of teaching. With hundreds of courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and research degree level across seven academic faculties, the University now has about 17,000 students from over 90 countries across its two main campuses in Chester and Warrington.

Eligibility:
Academic requirements: Undergraduate (Bachelor’s Degree)
Higher Secondary Certificate / Standard XII – Indian School Certificate (ISC) / Intermediate Certificate / Higher School Certificate / Higher Secondary Certificate / All India Senior School Certificate / Pre-University course – awarded on completion of Standard XII (may be eligible for undergraduate study if awarded by the Metro Boards)
Diploma (from a State Board of Technical Education) when awarded after 3 years of full-time study
Diploma in an allied health subject
Academic requirements: Postgraduate (Masters degree)
Bachelor’s degree
Indian Institute of Engineers examinations A and B
All Bachelor degrees must be awarded with a score of 50% or above
If English is not your first language: Undergraduate Study
IELTS 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any band)
TOEFL 72 (internet based) with the following minimum scores in each component: listening 17, reading 18, speaking 20, writing 17
PTE Academic with overall score of 57 and no less than 51 in any component
TOEIC 690 or above with the following minimum scores in each component: listening 400, reading 385,speaking 160, writing 150
If English is not your first language: Postgraduate Study
IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 5.5 in any band)
TOEFL 88 (internet based) with the following minimum scores in each component: listening 21, reading 23, speaking 23, writing 21
PTE Academic with overall score of 63 and no less than 51 in any component
TOEIC 750 or above with the following minimum scores in each component: listening 400, reading 385, speaking 160, writing 150
