Bangor University was founded in 1884 and enjoys good reputation for excellence in education and student experience. Over 11,000 students study in 23 Academic Schools grouped into five Colleges. Bangor has been described as “one of the cheapest places in Britain” to be a student according to “The A-Z of Universities and Higher Education Colleges” and is consistently ranked as one of the most economical places to study in the UK in various cost-of-living surveys.

The scholarship is offered in the form of a reduction in tuition fee. The scholarships will apply to students beginning their degree course in September 2014.
Entry requirements for students from India:
For entry into year 1 of an undergraduate Bachelors degree, you’ll need to have one of the following:
- HSC/Standard 12 with an overall average of 50% from the West Bengal exam board
- HSC/Standard 12 with an overall average of 55% from the following exam boards: CBSE, Delhi, Mumbai, Tamil Nadu
- HSC/Standard 12 with an overall average of 60% with at least 40% in a minimum of 5 subjects from any other exam board
- A recognised foundation qualification
English language requirements
