The University of Derby is working in partnership with the British Council to offer scholarships to Indian students as part of the GREAT Scholarship campaign.

The University of Derby is located in the heart of England and is reachable in 90 minutes from London by train. The two campuses in Derby and Buxton offer a wide range of high quality courses. About 1,000 international students from more than 70 countries study in the University of Derby.

IELTS: 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in all areas).
TOEFL: 550 (paper based), 213 (computer based), or 80 (internet based)
Pearson Test of Academic English: 51
Cambridge Advanced Certificate: Pass

International GCE O Level English Language: Grade C
International GCSE English or English as a Second Language: Grade C.

Britain is one of the top destinations for higher education. In the recently published QS World University Rankings 2013/14, four of the top six universities in the world are in the UK. To know more, visit: QS World university rankings.

The QS report also reveals that a survey was carried out with 27,000 graduate employers and found that graduates from UK universities are among the most employable, with employers rating five UK universities among the world’s top 10.

Here is a great opportunity for those who are planning to study in Britain. The British Council offers scholarships worth almost 1 million pounds. 370 scholarships for 260 under-graduate and post-graduate courses are offered at 36 UK institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The British Council established as the UK’s international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations. The British Council was established in India in 1948. They operate nine libraries and cultural centres in key centres in India.

Australian National University College of Business and Economics International Graduate Scholarship

australian national uniScholarships are offered to students of Degree Programs offered by the ANU College of Business and Economics

Field of study: The College offers internationally recognised graduate coursework degrees in Accounting, Actuarial studies and statistics; Business, management and marketing; Business information systems; Economics and Finance.

Value: The Scholarship provides sponsorship for half (50%) of the international student tuition fee for up to one year of a Graduate Diploma or Masters program offered by the College.

The Scholarship does not cover any application and deposit fee, the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) premium, fares to and from Australia, the payment of reading and study materials, living expenses, accommodation, services and amenities fee, or any other costs associated with studying.

Duration: The scholarship is tenable for up to one year of a Graduate Diploma or Masters program offered by the ANU College of Business and Economics

Number of scholarships: Up to 10 per year.

Eligibility: Applicants muust be an International Students. Must have applied for a Graduate Diploma or Masters by coursework program with the ANU College of Business & Economics. The applicant must be a commencing student in a Graduate Diploma or Masters by coursework program within the ANU College of Business and Economics for the first time. Dependants of the staff of diplomatic or consular missions are also eligible.

One scholarship will be awarded to a student from Latin America, Europe, Asia, South East Asia and Eurasia while the remaining five scholarships will be open to applicants from all regions of the world.

Selection is on the basis of academic merit, program choice and country of citizenship. Consideration may also be given to any other factors which the Selection Committee considers to be appropriate from time to time and in line with the College’s strategic direction and priorities.
